Susan & Sandy: Ancient Friends Explore the Ancient World

In and around Egypt

We've officially known each other since we were in kindergarten. Our parents knew each other long before we were born. We grew up in a small town in eastern Washington called Wapato - population 3,105 (while we were there). For some reason, we both have always had the desire to see exotic places on other continents. We've both been to many European locations. Sandy has been to Japan and China. I've been to Japan, South Korea, Turkey, and India.

We both had Egypt as a place we've always wanted to see, but we didn't realize it until we were talking about traveling a few years ago. Sandy wanted to go to Egypt and couldn't find anyone to go with her. I had always wanted to go, but had the same issue. Egypt is a mysterious and compelling place, but it's also in a geographical location where safety could be a legitimate concern. After our 40th High School Reunion last summer (which Sandy declined to attend), we decided that 2008 was the year to go. Come join us on our adventure!
