The Countdown begins...
In and around Spain
Well I am counting down the days until I leave for Spain. Saturday morning I leave from the Phoenix airport and head to Chicago before flying to Madrid, Spain. I have just about everything I think I need...which means I am probably missing something. I am getting pretty nervous but am excited that I am getting to do this.
I am so lucky to have the support and the opportunity to travel and study abroad. I can't thank my family enough for all of your support in every way.
THE PLAN:
PHX Airport Saturday, June 30, 2007>
Chicago > La Aeropuerto del Barajas en Madrid a la 8 en la manana
My friend Megan and I are traveling together and will spend the day in Madrid (probably hangin out with Picasso). We have to be at the airport at 6pm to leave for Segovia where our homestay family will be waiting for us. We are staying with a woman who lives 5 minutes from campus and who has a dog named Scar! HA! Everyone knows how much I love animals...:) I have classes Monday through Thursday and we plan to travel on the weekends. Most of our travels will be with the group throughout Spain and on our free weekends we are going to try to do some travel outside of Spain.
I'm looking forward to testing my Spanish skills...and I hear the "suckling pig" is to die for...mmm.
Thanks again for all of your support...I will keep you posted on my adventures...yeah that's the journalist in me.
Vida, Amor, Viaje
Until next time...
