Italy and Tunisia
In and around Tunis, Tunisia

This site will soon be home to a travel journal, covering the adventures of Cynthia, Michael, Jeremy and Luca as they head to Italy and North Africa on their very first cross-Atlantic trip as a family.
Michael and Cynthia last made this journey in the Summer of 1988 on their pre-wedding honeymoon (and boy, did that cause some confusion for folk.) We are not exactly retracing our original route, but are very much looking forward to reaching Palermo where we spent such a wonderful time that summer with Michael's aunts, uncles and cousins. Alas, the aunts and uncles are no longer with us, but we still have cousins, second cousins and yet-to-be-met third cousins.

My colleague from the UW, Noel Paul, will join us in Palermo and then 21 UW students will arrive to begin a four-week adventure in Sicily and Tunisia.
