Cambodia in heat

In and around Southeast Asia

G Week (golden week - basically a week of holidays) to those of us on the JET programme in Japan means one thing 'time to travel'.

Our 10 day trip, fingers crossed, will go something like this ...

Bangkok for a night of debauchery - Phnom Penh for two or three days to check out the killing fields, S21 prison and cafes - Siem Reap (Angkor Wat) for four days of temple exploration and to see the floating villages - the it's back to Bangkok for some shopping, shopping and ... umm, I think the girls want to do some shopping!  Oh, and it goes without saying there will be more drinking before heading home.
