Chillin in West Palm Beach Florida
In and around World
Greetings everyone,
We are now in West Palm Beach staying with our friend joni's Bolivian friend Manfred. He is a real gem to us because he is a great tour guide and he is also helping with my spanish and giving us lots of good information about South America. He also asked that when we are there we stop to see his mama and papi in Bolivia. We were going there anyway so we said why not. They own and run a fish farm and it is equiped with a restaurant speciallizing in fish dishes of course. I think we will like it there...So far I am glad we came here. Our plan was to fly here from N.Y. stay a couple of days until our cruise left for South America and that was it but what the cruise people did not tell us is we need a tourist visa to go to Brazil and since that was the cruise's final destination we were o.k. with it for the same price of a flight there we were getting so much more but upon speaking with the canadian consulate they advise us to go back home to apply which was riciculous so we call the consulate of Brazil in Miami and they told us to go there. So here we are and Monday we are going to see what can be done. Because it is Christmas season there are not too many affordable cruises available. But after December it will open up. We well decide after we speak to the consulate. U.S. citizens do not need a visa to go to Brazil but Canadians do, go figure...Anyway, I am not complaining it is very nice here. Lots to see and do...way too much actually , it's hard to chose. Thank God for Manfred whom I named cowboy because he loves steaks. He told us his parents eat more steak than anything even though they have a fish farm. He must find it strange we don't eat meat...He is a great guy, very funny, single right now but he tells us all about his past relationships...and laughs...We have to go right now so I will blog more later and will post some pics.
Hasta luego,
Ian and Yolo
P.S. my travel name is Yolo it means Y ou O nly L ive O nce
