Bar Harbor for Lobsters!
In and around United States
Reservations are finally made! We are heading north. After quite a bit of deliberation about what our vacation should be this year, Bar Harbor, Maine, finally won the vote. We talked about several other destinations -- Assagtegue, Shenandoah, Wyoming --Dude Ranch, an Island so we could snorkel. Bar Harbor won, for a few reasons. First, we sort of wanted to go back to camping. Last year we did not go at all (because the year before was disatourus at Lake George, NY -- Humidity to do any trip in). Also, some of the more elaborate trips really deserved more time that we had for planning them.
To soften the road back to camping we decided to rent a Motor Home and leave the tent home! We are hoping this creates a better atomosphere. We have also gone all out luxury and are staying at a private campground vs. National Park -- some conveinces would be nice.
