Sideling France for the Semester!

In and around Europe

Bonjour! This is the introduction to my impending semester, which is based in Angers, France. With Angers as home base and place of study, I plan to galavant all over Europe viewing things relevant to my German ancestry, artisticity, and the Catholic faith. These pursuits shall be restrained only by fear of financial disaster! When devoid of financial resources, I will be in Angers becoming acutely aware of my inability to speak the French language. Today Marie Agostini, my divorced host mother (yes, it is true, the French family is not exactly a model of perfection) informed me, in French, that, although she is an English professor, she has purged her house of the sordid English language and will not be speaking one speck of it to me. Mission one of learning French, has, therefore, become must have, like air, because talking is my bestest thing! Perhaps I will come back quiet, mouse girl!

In the Augostini family there are three girls, Pauline 23 years old, Camille 20 years old, and Victoria 15 years old. Pauline has flown the nest, but the other two live at home. All girls- very Trinity! I do not know if any of the girls go to the Universite Catholique de l'Ouest, where I am studying a bunch of French, but they should, because that would be very convenient!  Well, I am ready to fly the nest and stop having time to start travel blogs and such. I will most likely fall a lot on this excursion, but hopefully they will be the learning kind of falls and not the get smushed like a depited ripe fruit under several semi wheels type! I feel a lot of pressure to write something really cool since everyone will be reading my comments. This leads to a release of achetlycholine acting on muscarinic receptors activating my sympathetic nervous system, slowing down my heart and freezing my brain... But I am glad you are safe and I hope to talk with you soon!

Sounds great, or better yet you could just come to France and tell her yourself and then we could drink our troubles away in a French parking lot:)! I bet they have super sweet tar! I listen to your drinking mix all the time! You want to be a student ambassador with me next year? That would be so fun! I miss you too!

Hannah! this is an awesome idea! What fun! So I noticed that you are planning on learning about your german ancestry by way of travel. any dates in mind? When do you get to France? Maybe it's pointless for me to post these questions here because maybe you cannot answer them! I would love to come visit France.. Money permitting. we'll see! I hope you get to France safely, and that your divorced french mom isn't so anti-american as she sounds. :) Have Fun!

OMG...this is so cool! Hannah the Track team misses you especially me b/c I miss our runs! But I know you will have the time of your life over in France...oh and I'm going to Minnesota for Spring Break and sometime in the summer so let me know when you come home!

hannah! it took me quite some time to figure out where you were on this site. haha...leave it to you to wriggle out of email obligations by setting up a blog! anyway, i would like to reestablish that obligation-you should write me about all the marvoulous and not so marvoulous times and experiences you have undergone!

Hi Shelly! OK I'm not really sure how this works yet either! I would love if you came and visited me! I am also planning on coming to Rome at some point. I am not sure yet when my breaks and classes are so I will have to get back to you about Germany. Also my cousin is going to be in switzerland, so I have tentative travel plans there.
