Beijing to Hong Kong the Long Way Around!

In and around China

Hey everyone,

I would just like to say congratulations to everyone on completing their degrees. It’s been a long but eventful time!!

I just want to say I loved every moment of university and that is largely due to all you guys, who have supported me over these four years. This final year at university has been the most important year so far in my life and one in which I felt like I have matured enough to go into the real world.

Anyway enough of those ramblings, the reason for this note is so that I can try to keep in touch with all you guys by telling you my plans for the next 5 months before I start work in January 2008 in London. If you think you are going to be near where I am then send me a message and we should meet up!

1. I will be flying out to Hong Kong on the 25th July 2007 2. Fly up North to Beijing on 1st August for a month where I will try to learn the language! 3. Taking the Trans Tibetan railway to Xi'an around the 2nd September and staying for a day or two 4. Then to Cheng du on the 4-6th September 5. Try to make it to Lakhsa, Tibet on the 12th September and plan to travel around the himalayas for a couple of weeks. 6. I will then make my way across to Shanghai very slowly taking a few stops on the way and try to arrive around the start of October for another month long course. 7. I will then head back to Hong Kong stopping off at Gullin and Guanzhou on the way back. 8. Then if all goes to plan I will be somewhere in India at the end of October till November 10thish. 9. I will then be back in Hong Kong until December the 5th 2007 when I will fly back to England and move into Hendon, London and stat work on the 14th January.

Right, those are my provisional plans hope to see some of you guys out there.
