Osaka to Okinawa in 3 weeks!
In and around Japan

I'm born and raised in Canada but my parents are originally from Japan. Although I've been to Japan 15 or so times, our trips usually consist of visiting our 40 + family members. Not that there's anything wrong with that as we are a very close family BUT, once we've done the rounds it's time to hop back on the plane.
My husband and I stopped over in Japan on the way back from Bali 2 years ago. Although we were only there for 3 days, we had a blast! We've talked about going back and finally the opportunity has arrived. We're planning to start in Osaka and work our way down to Okinawa where we're hoping to laise on the beach for 1relaxing week. Since Japan can get very expensive, we're going to redeem our Starwood points for some hotel stays. So, we'll be staying in some really fancy places and then at other times, not so fancy at all! Hey it's not like we won the lottery or anything!

In the meantime, here's a song to get us in the mood. They're an Okinawan band called Yanawaraba. I love the sound of the sanshin (Okinawan yukulele).
