First day in Central America

In and around El Salvador

Was flying out of San Francisco.  Had a connecting flight in Guadalajara, MX and Mexico City, MX.  The San Francisco to Guadalajara flight went great because they upgraded my flight from regular economy to first class!!  That really helped out because it was the longest flight, 3 hrs.

Flew into San Salvador airport which was about 1.5 hrs outside the city, asked the driver to take us to a hotel that was recommnded by a local on the plane.  It was supposed to be in a nice area, Colonia Escalon.  Unfortunately that hotel did not exist and we had to settle for another nice hotel.  very nice hotel in a nice safe area.

That day I went out to eat in Zona Rosa, had the best some of the best steak (churrasco) Ive ever eaten in my life.  After that relaxed and went to bed.
