Travellers have been marvelling at Egypt's wondrous antiquities for thousands of years. Even The Ancient Greeks and Romans were awed by them. Located in North Africa, bordering The Mediterranean Sea, between Libya, The Gaza Strip, The Red Sea North of Sudan and includes The Asian Sinai Peninsula. A unified kingdom arose circa 3200BC. A series of dynasties ruled Egypt for the next three millennia. The regularity and richness of the annual Nile River flood, coupled with semi-isolation provided by deserts to the east and west, allowed for the development of one of the world's great civilisations. Containing the best known greatest city in the Islamic world, Cairo is filled with ancient monuments and medieval customs thriving in a cosmopolitan, modern city. Also home to the last surviving, seventh wonder Of the World: The Great Pyramids. Egypt is so rich in history; you won’t want to leave without taking something very valuable with you. It truly is one of the most remarkable places I have ever been to.
