Counting down the days....

I can't believe my Holiday's already come to an end, it's flown by so quickly, as I imagine my upcoming big trip will! It's been really lovely to spend so much time with my family before I head off on my travel. Last week was particularly eventful in that we went up into the Troodos Mountains for a couple of days, stopping off in Omodos - I'd forgotten how lovely it is, we sat in the little square with a drink watching the world go by, it's just so peaceful. Once we were up at the leave centre in Troodos we settled into the chalet and went for a wander around. We went over to Sun Valley 1, which looks strange without the snow and the skiers, and Ben went Mountain boarding. We also went for a walk along the Caledonian Falls, and we went for a chilly dip!! In the evening we went down to Kakepatria for a wander around the old town before having dinner at the mill, which was really lovely. On our way back from the Mountain's we stopped off in Nicosia for some early lunch, yum! After a day back in Vrysoulles we headed over the North to Turkish Cyprus. We stopped off at Famagusta to have a wander around the town before heading off the the Pan Handle where we wer staying in a hut on a turtle beach. It was really lovely we just sat and read and then went for a swim in the sea before we went for dinner at the taverna which had a fairly basic menu, but was yummy! Anyway, we've had a few days back and now my attention is drawn to the pile of washing that needs sorting!! I have mixed emotions about heading back to the Uk, primarily because of the rain, but it's only a matter of days before I head off to NYC! WOOHOO!!!
