On June 4th I quit my job of eleven years. On June 12th I moved out of my apartment in Brooklyn, NY. On June 18th I boarded a plane to Madison, Wisconsin to meet up with Julia, my wonderful girlfriend, who is living in Iowa getting her MFA at the Iowa Writers' Workshop. The plan: to spend her last year in Iowa together, but before that we planned a little road trip...
