The phlegreian fields in Naples-Italy

In Naples ,from the green hill of Posillipo,I can hear the wind whispering and let the imagination lull my soul ,because from the highest point of the belvedere, the phlegreian fields,down below,echo antient stories.In the Campi Flegrei,(word that derives from phlrgreion-ardente-burning,because of the volcanic nature of the earth)Jupiter fought against Titani; here was the swamp of Acheron;here was the extreme step ofthe journey of men; here Ulisse and Enea met the shadow of their 'deaths';here I fight 'the daily' ,listening to the stories that the wind,on days when he decided to talk to me ,whispers.............
