Land's End to John 'O' Groats - Charity Cycle 2007

In and around United Kingdom

In the same tradition as the goodies, who did anything, any time'.. we must be slightly demented to have chosen this challenge... the goodies in this case will be cycling from Land's End to John 'O' Groats... and in true form this will be a Scottish comedy....

Hello everyone,

This blog site marks our epic charity cycle from Land's End to John 'O' Groats by Zia Yaqub, Findlay Black and Ally Stokoe from ACCA in aid of Cancer Research UK and The Yorkhill Children's Foundation.

The journey starts on Friday 24th August from Land's End and finishes at John 'O' Groats some 9 days and almost 1000 miles later on Saturday 1st September. Yes..there will be blood, sweat and tears along the way, a small price to pay in comparison to the youngsters in Yorkhill and those people diagnosed with Cancer.

We would like to thank everyone who has sponsored us so far, and to thank ACCA for giving us the time to do this cycle. Special thanks must also go to Ade McMeechan, Dom Travers and Gareth Griffiths (our ACCA colleagues) as well as Mr & Mrs Black (Findlay's Mum & Dad) for giving up their time to accompany us in the support vehicle. We would also like to thank Enterprise-Rent-A-Car (http://www.enterprise.com/)for supplying the support vehicle as well as FTC Kaplan (http://www.ftckaplan.com/), BPP (http://www.bpp.com/ and SD Business Management (http://www.sdbm.co.uk/) for being our main sponsors.

Finally, the links to our chosen charities are noted below:
