Summer Holidays in Vermont and Montreal
In and around Montreal, Canada
When Pat found out several months ago that she had a conference in the NE in July, we decided to make it our family vacation as well. After several months of planning and several unexpected business trips in the interim, we are off next week to Burlington Vermont with 3 kids in tow!
The plan is to fly into Burlington, rent a car and drive across the border to Montreal, Canada for the weekend, then back to Burlington for the remainder of the week. The kids and I will swim in Lake Champlain (keeping our eyes peeled for 'Champ'!!), go up into the mountains for some brook trout fishing and perhaps an alpine slide ride at Stowe, and just plain relax. Pat will be at the conference for much of the week, but will take some time out to join us at the Ben and Jerry's factory, the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory, and a couple of days of sun.
On the way to Montreal we hope to take in the Ausable Canyon in upstate New York. Other than that, plans are flexible....we'll see what adventures find us!
