My first experience at a nudist resort in palm Springs
In and around United States
My husband, Dave has been trying for years to convince me to go to a nudist colony. Finally I gave in this November at Thanksgiving time. It was the best most romantic vacation we have ever had. I wish I had listened to Dave years ago.
We went to The Terra Cotta Inn in Palm Springs, California. The site is http://sunnyfun.com Tom the owner writes a very informative and interesting blog at http://theterracottainn.blogspot.com
We flew from Seattle to Palm Springs on Alaska airlines. Since we went to a nudist colony, we only had carry on. We left the cold for the beautiful sun and warmth of Palm Springs. Where else can you get 80's and sunshine in November? The weather was heavenly.
I was so nervous when we rang the bell. Tom answered the door nude. I was speechless. However, Tom was born run a hotel. He is quite the entertainer. He introduced us to people poolside (who were all naked) as he took us to our room. What a host. He also looks after all the details of running the resort. I learned in his previous career he was a CPA and it shows. The resort is very well run, but lots of fun.
I had told Dave that I was most certainly not going to go nude sunbathing when we got to Terra Cotta. I thought to myself I might go topless sunbathing on the last day when we left, to make him happy, but no way was I going nude.
I peeked out of our room window and everyone was reading or chatting or relaxing nude poolside. And it all seemed so normal. I surprised Dave by taking my clothes off and saying lets go.
We met some of the nicest people. Everyone said get in the pool right before 4 o'clock. Sure enough at 4 Tom walks out carrying a basket of the best strawberries I have ever eaten. He was completely nude except for a black bow tie. He walked right into the pool and seved us. Unbelievable.
That night we didn't feel like going out for dinner, so we ordered in from California Pizza Kitchen. Terra Cotta has a menu book of 10 different restaurants that deliver.
The next day we had a great California breakfast with lots of fresh fruit, pastries, muffins, juice, Starbucks coffee, and more. You would easily pay $15 or more at a fancy hotel. Here it was free.
Dave it in the computer industry. He is used to spending $10/day for internet access. At Terra Cotta, they had free wifi. We have sometimes spend $25 for parking. It was free here.
Terra Cotta was the best value hotel we have ever stayed at.
To make a long story short, we had checked out things to do in Palm Springs, but never left the hotel for 5 days. We just had so much fun. Everyone told us we had picked the best nudist resort in the world for our first time and I believe it.
If you are looking for a romantic, fun, off beat, vacation experience, I can not speak more glowingly about Terra Cotta Inn than I have already.
I read, they are called the most mainstream nudist resort in America and its true. First timers feel completrely at ease here They are also the best nudist resort in the world.
