Hey Lynds! Sorry it took me so long to write back, but I just finished travelling home to Canada. First of all, I travelled my entire time by myself and I can tell you that you will be fine. You will only be alone if you choose to be alone because there are so many people travelling it is easy to meet someone that you get along with. I actually met people that I travelled with for up to a week at a time so it really helped me adjust to a new place. Here would be my advice about places to go. Koh Samui - I really liked it though it is really commercial so be prepared. I would stay on the North Chewang Beach because the main part is just crazy and not suited for single travellers unless you are there to party EVERY day. Lots of activities to do, I would recommend scuba diving in Ko Tao that's where I did my intro dive. Railey - Awesome place to chil out and go rock climbing. Not alot of night life here but it's great for a break Phi Phi - a huge destination point for tourists, but it is soooo worth it! make sure you spend at least 4-5 days here, if not a week. I would stay at Maprow (coconut) beach because there is only one place to stay so you have your own beach! Plus you can stay super cheap if you want to. Phuket - I wouldn't stay here that long, it's SUPER commercial and the islands are just that much nicer One last piece of advice for you = GO NORTH! My highlight of Thailand was my jungle trek so I definately recommend staying in Chang Mai. Spicy Thai Backpackers is a great new hostel that's good for easing you into the backpacking lifestyle. Taxis don't know where it is so tell them it's by the Amari Rincome hotel. They'll know that. Let me know if you have any more specific questions and I'd be glad to answer them! I love reminicing about my trip!

I think I am going to Koh Samui and take it from there. Any advice. I am going alone....will I be OK? Cheers
