Wet, windy and suburned or 3 weeks in England
In and around United Kingdom
Hello,
My name is Kathy and my traveling companion's name is Marilee. We try and take a long vacation every other year and in 2006 we're off to England for 3 weeks. Why England? Ancestors, gardens, history and we speak the language (after a fashion).
After months of planning and anticipation our general itinerary is as follows:
- Canterbury
- Rye
- Salisbury
- London
- Cambridge
- Bath
- Cotswolds
- Windsor
I've tried to structure the entries with the practical information at the top and personal impressions following. I've been in corporate America for a number of years and between that and Hollywood I've lost any ability I ever had to write in active voice. Hopefully, I won't be too boring!
We'll be hiring a car for the first and last weeks of our trip and I hope driving on the left isn't too challenging. We'll find out.....
