2005 World Tour
In and around World

My trip around the world was a fabulous opportunity I got courtesy of the United Airlines "Around the World" promotion. In 2004, this promotion awarded one "Around the World" point for each trip to or from a Washington DC airport with 24 points being redeemable for an economy class trip around the world. I was lucky enough to be working on a project in DC for 6 months during that promotion - flying in weekly from Chicago. So I earned 49 points total, giving me enough to go on a trip and take a friend. I chose to take my friend Elizabeth who was one of my college roommates and my oldest friend in Chicago.
