I don’t know, I haven’t decided if I liked the cruise more than Normandy. I might have, because there is always something to do. When I wasn’t eating, reading, sleeping, or sightseeing, I was people watching. I liked to go up on deck and try to slip from corridor to corridor without being seen. My favorite person to people watch was Max, a person I met on the cruise. When he was up drinking on deck, I would try to go from the stairs to the sundeck without being seen. When he saw me, he would laugh and point at me. I would then go back to the stairs and start all over again. Once in awhile, I did make it up and then I try to make it down without being seen, which is harder than you would think.

Another thing I liked to do was sneak up on another friend from the cruise, Monica. But, that I didn’t have to do on the boat. Whenever I saw her sightseeing on the islands, I would creep up to her and say “boo”. Then I would laugh so hard I felt like I was going to blow up.

I also met a lot of other people. Monica’s husband, Jose, was a person I also had a lot of fun with. At night, a lot of us would eat together and talk about sisters, brothers, everything! I also liked the waitresses – there were three of them – Svetlana, Katrina, and Maria. Every time they saw me at the bar, they would ask me what I wanted and everything like that. It was really great.

I have to say that the boat rocked quite a lot and I had to take some medicine. Also, I have to say that I threw up once before the trip was over, almost twice. The medicine, called Dramamine, makes me sleepy and I had to be woken up every day, that is, at 9 to 10 o’clock. After that, I was still sleepy. Unfortunately, breakfast was from 8 to 9, so mom would save me pineapple and sausages.

Another thing that I would do on the cruise was play games in the dining hall. They had Janga, chess and cards. I don’t know how to play chess, so that was out of the question. But, Janga and cards was just fine with me. I made up my own games with the Janga blocks, building towers, traps, etc. I also played a lot of solitaire.

During the cruise, we were always on the ocean, and that’s a lot of water. A lot of water means a lot of water animals. And, that means crabs. Grayson and I love catching crabs, especially the land crabs that do not have shells like hermit crabs. These we found quite often, but they were hard to catch because they liked to hide between cracks in rocks. But, we did catch one (the entire time we were on the cruise!). We also liked to catch hermit crabs, well, I wouldn’t exactly say “catching” since we would just pick them up. Grayson loved finding hermit crabs. I, on the other hand, preferred land crabs.

We also caught snails. These, of course, were the easiest of all. All we had to do was pick them up off the rocks. Another reason I like the snails is because they are so much easier to find then hermit crabs, which are only in certain locations. Snails, on the other hand, can be found anywhere there are rocks. They stick to the rocks just like barnacles, so sometimes it is hard to distinguish a snail from a barnacle. Once you get close, though, it is easy. Barnacles are shaped like a short cone, while snails look like snails.

I think the cruise probably was better than Normandy, although I wouldn't want to admit that!

Abby - sounds like you are having a blast also. It is so good to hear. Must have been fun in that little room you and G-Man had on the ship. At least you go to have most of the bed...

Abby WOW that sounds like a lot of fun although I would have been scared to pick up the crabs. Did they snap you both at all?
