This is my first journal entry, so I'm going to start with the very last trip I've done. I travel a lot, mostly for business, but I always try to make the most fun out of it as possible. I have a interesting business that allows me to travel to awesome places around the world, as you will soon see.
Last week in Aspen was a strange off-season part of the year. Most of the nightlife was dead, and the slopes were not open. The first day I got there, there was a storm, so we ended up flying to Grand Junction, and then taking a 2 hr bus ride to Aspen. That's really not very fun, especially if the driver doesn't stop any where for you to get some real drinks ;)
I did eat at some great spots that you have to visit: Merlin's pizza, Matsuhisu, Taka Sushi, Poppies, Annie's, etc. I'm not a big food/wine guy, but I'm starting to get the taste for it. I'll get more detailed about my dining experiences in my future entries.
This was my 3rd trip to Aspen, and I don't recommend going there in the off-season. Everything is dead, few people are in town and you can't even snowboard (in the off season).
The homes in Aspen are phenomenal, and the town is very warm and friendly.
