arabic dvd, cockroaches, grenade like backpacks, trip wrap-up

We had an eight hour bus ride from Ouzoud to Asilah, which is at the top of Morocco and is near where we departed from.  Asilah is on the coast, and we had a view of the it from our hotel room windows.  Cade hadn't bought any Moroccan souveneirs yet so we set out to make his dream a reality.  I got a bracelet and a Moroccan comedy.  I passed by a storefront and saw the cover of this DVD and did a double take because I thought it was so ridiculous.  We walked by the store again about 10 mins later and I couldn't resist buying the DVD, it looks hilarious (if you know me, just by looking at the cover of the DVD you would be able to tell that it would be right up my alley) but my computer won't play it.  I'll ask the guy downstairs in my residencia who has some crazy contraption that converts international DVDs into other formats.  For dinner we went to this place that was really bad.  Sarah squashed a tiny cockroach on the floor.  Then we set out to get ice cream and couldn't find any so we ended up just getting it from our hotel lobby ice cream freezer bin type thing.  Then we went back to our hotel room and watched some quality Moroccan TV... oh man this one movie was so ridiculous.  The main character was this man dressed up as a fat old woman and she organized a dancing strike in a women's jail, fought people off with umbrellas and did Native American calls to alert people.  We tried to shower but found it hard to open our backpacks with all our dirty clothes in them because they smelled so bad.  So to sidestep opening my backpack (it was that bad) I just showered and put on the clothes I was already wearing. 

I don't want to end my summary of the trip on that note but I might have to because I am tired of 'splainin'.

MOROCCO WAS REALLY COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I highly recommend it.
