Elizabeth Bell is treasure trove of info about Antigua, it was easy to forgive her for being 20 minutes late. She's 52, has lived in Antigua since she was 14 and provides an insider's take on Antigua. I couldn't get enough of her, she is so knowledgeable. Well organized, informative, she took us to places I wouldn't have known about or gone. The tour was crowded but don't let that keep you away. I recommend taking it as soon as you get to Antigua, it's a great jumping off point, gives you a an informative framework for the rest of your Antigua visit. Don't quit early, the last stop is the best.!!

I agree. Elizabeth provides meaningful context for a visit to Guatemala and Antigua, and shows how by visiting we are helping rebuild from civil war, earthquakes, and Hurrican Stan. Antigua wouldn't be so worth the visit without all the work she's done as a restoration historian to preserve this fabulous city.
