Our next stop was Aunt Joan's and Uncle Jim's. What a wonderful time. We so enjoyed our visit...we hope that Aunt Joan didn't overdue because she is recovering from surgery as she had to have her appendix removed. Dee came over everyday to check in on all of us and she and Gloria took us all site seeing. There is a great deal of civil war historical heritage around Amelia Courthouse. They showed us where they liked to fish and go tubing on the James river. We could see Jimmy Dean's castle just a little ways down river. We went to Fox Creek where Gloria lives with her daughter. Also drove through a miniature antique village...there was a western union telegraph office, general store, filling station, feed store, etc. One thing is for sure is that they always make us a superb dinner of southern sausage and biscuits!
