We sailed the WhitSundays islands on board the Atlantic Clipper, a 140 foot boat, that came highly recommended and it lived up to its name. The boat itself had 3 levels; the dorm type accommodation on ground, kitchen and dining area next, and then the deck itself [jacuzzi included]. We saw alot of sailing boats were all you can do is pretty much sit still on the deck but on our yacht :o) the deck was really big and you could move around easily. This was a great way to meet people and it wasn't long before we were all partying together. We arrived at the harbour 20 minutes late. Essentially because we hit the off-licence and man did we buy alot of alcohol. 120 cans of beer, 1 bottle of Jaggermeister, Vodka, Southern Comfort, Jim Bean plus mixers. $450 the bill came to haha. I can only imagine the first impression we made on our fellow passengers when we carried it all on board. Oh, and did I mention it was Halloween. So we were carrying all the drink in our fancy dress. Haha.
This is one of those experiences were the photos really tell the story. We took a million photos between us so hopefully I'll get the opportunity to upload alot of them and we can all have a giggle. The fancy dress was hilarous, the drinking games were such a laugh it's an understatement and WhitSundays itself (one of the most photographed places on the planet) beautiful. It really was such a fantastic trip, mostly thanks to our current group and some of the people we met on board. Just great people. It was such a laugh!.
