After the hussle and bustle of Palolem it was nice to arrive in Agonda, the beach was nearly identical, a kilometre of golden sand, but minus all the beach bars and market stalls. We virtually had the beach to ourselves and the water was crystal clear. We just lay on the beach for two days - bliss. There was so few people you actually felt sorry for the beach hawkers carrying their bundles of towels, shirts, sarongs, jewellry etc. up and down the beach to try and entice the 2 odd people actually on the beach.
We did go out on a canoe ride up the river when approached by a young lad and were pleasantly surprised by the wild life; monkeys, eagles, egrets, kingfishers and a multitude of other birds...........
