Kangaroo Island...KI for short!
Lots to see and do here as you can do the highights in one day (one i did) or spend two or more days here enjoying what the island has to offer at your own leisurely pace.
After a 2 hour bus trip out of Adelaide to catch your ferry your first destination is seal bay. Here you learn about the seal colony that resides at KI each year to rest and breed.
You cant get very close to these animals as they can tend to be a little aggressive and need their space..but most of the time they are just lazing around on the sand as they were when i visited them. So cute are the seal pups though, nestled near mum.
Othe sights on KI include the othe flora and fauna scattered throughout your journey along the road, Remarkable Rocks, Admirals Arch - Fur seal colony and rock sculpted cave like arch, and the Koalas of Flinders Range National Park, where you will taste some wonderful aussie food.
