My first few days

I've officiall arrived here in Ghana!

I can't even believe it. I only have a few moments to update for all of you, but wanted to let you know we're here and safe.

Yesterday was Independence Day and we went to some of the celebrations... it was interesting to be in the capital for their "Fourth of July." We even got to see the president!

Today classes started, and they seem as though they should be interesting. For art class we went on our first field trip to a yarn manufacturer here. The yarns were such beautiful colors and it was so interesting to see the process we often don't even think about!

We're staying in a nice place where we can go swimming each day, which is wonderful because it's so warm here! (I know, you're all jealous!)
