DRIVING in our camper up the windy roads to Abel Tasman N.P.

Hoping to kayak here but it’s not quite the start of the season so we checked out the area in our van and by foot. I’d love to come back here with more time to go mountaineering for a few days, then chill out in the area after – Abel Tasman is gorgeous and I can see why people come here to chill!

We did spot more gorgeous waterfalls and Australasia’s largest springs and the world’s clearest fresh water at Waikoropupu Springs. Apparently the only place known to be water of greater clarity is under the Ice Shelf in Antarctica – so I’ll check that out when I’m there at Christmas and report back!!
