This pub is a nice, quiet retreat from the busy street outside. The decor comprises teak furniture and framed newspaper clippings for the most part. Old stories of sporting glory and political upheavals are featured in the old headlines. The staff are friendly and often willing to have a chat about this and that. During the summer, it's often nice to sit back with a pint and enjoy the musicians playing an old traditional air.
