More information on Iglesia Santa Ana y su plazuela
This beautiful and imposing construction was started by Juan José Goycolea in 1806. Afterwards in 1854, it was devoted but not finished. It has a neoclassical style, following the lines of JoaquÃn Toesca. Its main facade has a type of baroque style with Doric columns. In front of the church is the small Santa Ana plaza that was made by Rodrigo de Quiroga, with a pool of water in the middle, as it's main element. This section was remodeled in 1979 and today serves as a National Monument.
