Through tours, films, dioramas and slide presentations, you will learn about the history of 500 men and the hardships they faced while marching through the desert Southwest in 1846. These men, who helped secure the California Territory for the United States, have been credited with being part of the longest infantry march in U.S. history, digging the first water wells, building the first brick kiln and first brick courthouse. Admission is free.
