Papago Golf Course is an 18 hole course that was built in 1963 by architect William F. Bell. It has long been considered one of the finest municipal golf courses in the US with national ranking. Papago was the site of the 1971 USGA Amateur Public Links Championship and was won by an Oregonian, Fred Haney.
