More information on Red Deer (The)
This welcoming pub is situated between West Street and the Sheffield University sites. The décor is traditional, with comfortable seats and wooden furniture and panelling, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Students, workers at lunch, local residents, and beer buffs mingle happily at the Red Deer. The pub devotes an excellent attention to detail where its beers are concerned: Burton and Tetley's are its main fare, but there is always an excellent selection of Guest Beers. An information board gives precise details of these. Care is also taken over the selection of stouts, lagers, spirits and wines. Tasty, reasonably-priced lunches (including specials) are also available at this justly popular pub.
