More information on Sapphire Hill Vineyards
The Sapphire Hill Vineyard, located in the middle of the Russian River Valley, has the benefit of cool weather ideal for growing grapes to produce varietals like chardonnay and pinot noir. High-density planting techniques and drip irrigation methods, however, are required to grow Syrah grapes. The fruit was sold to other wineries up until 2002, after which Sapphire Hill established its own winery in Healdsburg. The wine club, called Hill House, provides members with attractive discounts on wine purchases and 'V.I.P.' access to the winery.
