This branch was the first foray out of its home area for Québec City's long-established family-owned department store. Most Montréalers had never heard of it, but that changed fast as attention was quickly captured by the fashions that fill the refurbished first three floors of a building that once housed the venerable Simpson's department store. One guidebook describes the store as "swanky," but the actuality is closer to the "softer side of Sears," with good prices.
