More information on Teatro de la Comedia
Its programming concentrates on staging classical drama produced by Spanish and foreign companies and it's also the headquarters of Spain's National Classical Theater Company. The building was designed by AgustÃn Ruiz de Villajo with some beautiful Arabesque and wrought-iron interior features and it opened to the public in 1875. It's now managed by the Ministry of Culture. Tickets can be bought in advance from any of the national theater box offices or by calling.
