A traditional confectioner and patisserie, this place is one of the oldest of its kind in Copenhagen, having been in existence since 1792. A recent redecoration, done using historical photos from the Museum of Copenhagen has brought back its original décor and style. Now you can again dine or have coffee in very traditional, elegant surroundings. Cakes and desserts are homemade. There is a selection of coffees and a good variety of dishes. Surprisingly, prices are not too inflated, especially if you consider the very central location, right on Kgs. Nytorv, by the Royal Theatre (Det Kongelige Teater) and Hotel D'Angleterre.
