One of Charlotte's largest entertainment venues, the Charlotte Coliseum hosts a wide range of sporting events, concerts, and other major events. College and professional basketball teams have played here for such high-profile tournaments as the NBA All-Star game, the NCAA Men's and Women's Final Four, and WNBA games. The Coliseum is also the place to see big-name entertainers; U2, Garth Brooks, and the Grateful Dead have all played here. Other major events at the Coliseum have included a visit by Mother Teresa, Ringling Brothers Circus and Walt Disney's World on Ice. Take Exit 5 off of I-77 or Exit 33 off of I-85 to get to Charlotte Coliseum.
