Located inside the Prospect Park, this venue is the park's main attraction for outdoor concerts and many consider it to be the most exciting venue in all of New York. It has a three storied high acoustic shell and a large circular plaza with a capacity of holding 2000 seats in the plaza and about 5000 seats on the lawns. The Bandshell is also one of the largest outdoor cinemas in the world, with a 21 foot high and 50 foot wide movie screen. It features beer and food at reasonable rates and even has public restrooms. The Bandshell is best known for hosting the Celebrate Brooklyn Performing Arts Festival.
