Possibly the greatest glory of the Bowood Garden are the Rhododendron Walks, begun in the mid 19th century and added to by successive generations. Now covering over 60 acres, with some 2 miles of paths, the spectacle of the enormous range of rhododendrons and azaleas in flower is breathtaking. This area is open for 6 weeks during flowering time from April to early June.
