Description

Originally opened in 1977 (and refitted 30 years later), the Seattle Aquarium serves over 750,000 visitors annually. One of the unique features of the aquarium is a large underwater dome - a massive inverted fish bowl with 400,000 gallons of water and sharks, salmon, rockfish and other sea life inside. Other exhibits include an artificial coral reef, touch pools, octopus tank and "ocean oddities" collection. In 2007, a 120,000 gallon "window" exhibit opened, featuring animals from the coast of Washington. Children and adults alike are sure to find their time here entertaining and informative.
