The USS Arizona National Memorial commemorates the site on Pearl Harbor where over 1,500 crew members lost their lives. After the "Day of Infamy" on December 7, 1941, steps were taken to memorialize the brave men, and the site was finally dedicated in 1962. The memorial visit begins with a film, followed by a guided tour of the battleship. A bridge floating over the ship allows for views of the coastline (and any ships coming into port), as well as viewing ports to the oil-seeping sunken decks below.
