More information on Gentofte Kino
Gentofte Kino is what you can call a luxury cinema, located on the main street of the suburb of Gentofte, north of Copenhagen. The cinema was built in 1938 by famous Danish architect Arne Jacobsen, who also designed the famous Egg (a chair). With its modernist entrance and the curious café, this cinema is an architectural wonder of its time. The comfort in the theatre is fabulous, because half the seats were removed at one point to create more legroom. Furthermore, the sound system and the screen are completely up-to-date. On the repertoire are premiere films, and the prices are below average. So if you have the courage to leave Copenhagen to go to see a film, this is where you should go. Opening hours vary depending on the film.
