More information on Imakumano Kannon-ji
This would be Stop number 15 if one were taking the popular pilgrimage course of the thirty-three Kannons. To thwart advancing age and its accompanying senility, many older visitors have given statues resembling themselves as insurance against the ravages of old age. Bodhisattvas line the bamboo grove's walkways--providing a scaled down version of a full pilgrimage. This is the approach to see the small pagoda located behind the main hall.
