Located between the incredible mountains and sandy beaches just outside of downtown Rio, Museu Casa do Pontal is a noteworthy stop for any travelers interested in Brazil’s early rural history. Containing several historically decorated rooms and exhibits, the museum even sports one animatronic band simulating an escola da samba (samba school) marching in the Carnival parade.
