This large pub/restauran is well known in Christchurch for its large riverside terrace, and for watching the Punting on the Avon. The Avon Bar along with the Carvery Restaurant, the Riverview buffet upstairs and the Chloe's Bar are all part of The Oxford on Avon. Chloe's Bar is in the traditional pub style, with good solid bar, lots of seating and not too fussy ambiance. The terrace in the upstairs restaurant ensures a picturesque riverside outlook. For good old-fashioned pub grub, whether its an all-day breakfast or steak and chips, you cannot go wrong with the Oxford. Meals are excellent value with a wide choice and huge servings.
