This large piazza in Rome is a sight to see. For centuries the Piazza de Popolo was the site of public executions. Today however, it is a circle filled with neoclassical architecture. In the center of the circle is an Egyptian obelisk standing at 73 feet tall. Other sites include various fountains throughout as monuments to the aqueducts. At the southern end of this piazza are two symmetrical churches.
