Coliseum Cinema is located near the well-known Coliseum Café and used to be a popular haunt for movie—goers back when Malaysia was still a British colony. The building today boasts the latest cinematic projectors and sound system. Before a screening, patrons usually load up on refreshments like sunflower seeds (kuaci), fried peanuts (kacang putih) and drinks in plastic carriers. Malay and Indian movies are the regulars here. It also holds premiere screenings of newly-released local movies.
